Day 1 (August 3rd, Sunday)

Learn about the various steps of writing and what the workshop entails, review all the rules, and discover how to use ethical tools effectively. They will also start by analyzing a piece of media and writing a report on it.

Day 2 (August 4th, Monday)

Learn about various narrative essay techniques, and plan out narrative essays by brainstorming and prewriting

Day 3 (August 5th, Tuesday)

Learn about ways to write and revise our narrative essays, and then proceed to write and revise our essays

Day 4 (August 6th, Wednesday)

Learn about informational essays and notetaking; pick a topic, do research, and prewrite

Day 5 (August 7th, Thursday)

Learn about revising informational essays, and revise them

Day 6 (August 8th, Friday)

Learn about argumentative technique and rhetoric; choose an argumentative topic, brainstorm, and prewrite

Day 7 (August 9th, Saturday)

Learn about writing and revising argumentative essays, then write and revise our essays

Day 8 (August 10th, Sunday)

Learn about creative writing and have fun writing a story or poem
