2026 SAT/ACT English Workshop

A five-day online workshop designed to help students recognize question patterns, identify textual clues, eliminate distractors, and choose answers with greater speed and confidence.

What students will learn

English skills that transfer from practice to test day

  • Strengthen essential reading comprehension, grammar, and reasoning skills.
  • Understand the logic behind major SAT and ACT English question types.
  • Analyze passages, locate decisive evidence, and eliminate incorrect choices efficiently.
  • Learn practical test-taking strategies through modeled examples and guided practice.
  • Practice in small groups with time for discussion, problem solving, and questions.
  • Build organization and personal expression through creative narrative writing.
Student-to-student mentorship

Students learn from How2write instructors who earned perfect scores on the English portions of the SAT or ACT.

All class details will be emailed to the address provided on the enrollment form within one week of registration. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

The steps of writing; workshop details and rules; ethical writing tools; analyzing media and writing a report.

Day 2 · August 4

Narrative-writing techniques, brainstorming, and prewriting.

Day 3 · August 5

Writing and revising narrative essays.

Day 4 · August 6

Informational essays and note-taking; selecting a topic, researching, and prewriting.

Day 5 · August 7

Revising informational essays.

Day 6 · August 8

Argumentative writing, rhetoric, topic selection, brainstorming, and prewriting.

Day 7 · August 9

Writing and revising argumentative essays.

Day 8 · August 10

Creative writing: developing a story or poem.
